Global Artisan Exchange
OUR ARTISAN SCHOLAR, JANUARY 2019
Join Living Threads Co. artisan Ana Mesia from Santiago, Guatemala at The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC for Conversation, Creativity and Culture. In partnership with The Museum, Living Threads Co. and La Puerta Abierta Learning Center we are excited to host Ana for this unique opportunity of cultural exchange, preservation of traditional craft, learning, and professional development. Please take part in a demonstration of traditional mayan backstrap loom weaving, learn how to embroider, and take home your own unique piece of embroidered artwork all while working directly with artisan Ana Mesia and Living Threads Co. founder Amanda Zehner.
